ima old now....

....because I can't remember the last time I went out on a Friday, yet alone a Saturday night. Its kinda sad, but I think I have come to grips with it. I am old now....gah

So I kinda have a new job. I am VERY part time scorekeeping at the hockey rink. Right now I only have 4 training games done, 2 games solo tomorrow and 4 games planned for February. I am happy with what I got tho because there are so many people the put their "bids" in. Hopefully I will be able to do more, its $20 a game. Which is alllll extra money. Speaking of extra money, I rolled my change I have been saving for like a year or so probably, and I have like $59!!! I don't know what I have planned for that money yet, but its exciting!

anyways, I am rather bored with typing, so I am going to kick a few dogs out and go to bed, night night.

oh goodness...

...I have only 42 minutes of Thursday left!

Thankful Thursday!

I am Thankful for:

• my mom's surgery went really good and she is back home resting
• and she cant wait to go back to work
• music, it makes my world go round
• my job and my kinda new job I start-ish this weekend
• the fact that because I saved my change, I now have over $60 in extra money that is going right into my savings account
• fresh sheets so I can get a good nights sleep on tonight
• my horse, even though he was a super bad boy last week, made me love him just as much today after spending time with him
• my few select friends who are always there for me
• GOD and knowing he is there answering all my prayers, both in "good" and "bad" ways

I want....

....to write in here, but lately I don't really have anything to type about. Thankful Thursday is tomorrow, but if I procrastinate long enough, it will be Thursday and I can write what I am thankful for.....

no, I don't think I will make it til 12am...I am very tired.

I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow, I don't want to do a single thing alllll day. Well I do want to go out to ride, but other then that, I am not going anywhere...oh I just thought a QT run would be nice since I don't have any DC here....but just thinking about it makes me even more tired.

was at the hospital for 12 hours today, missed the gymkhana, but my momma is doing better...here are her bone pics so you'll see how bad it was and why she got air-evac'd to Scottsdale Osbourne. I hope you can tell which one is before and which one is after surgery. g'night

im quite distraught....

....I have been looking forward to tomorrow's gymkhana since the last one ended, however my mom's surgery is scheduled for 3:30p, maybe sooner if a operating room opens up. I know there will be more gymkhanas, but I only have one mom. And the fact that it was partially my fault the bratty horse was bad for her makes me want to be there even more. Don't you ever wish you could be in two places at once??? I do, so bad right now.

She is doing OK, very painful tho. She will have titanium plates and screws installed into her humerus tomorrow and is still eager to get on my horse to get back into riding. Thanks to all for the prayers, but don't stop, she still has to recover!

short thankful thursday

Even though my poor mom broke her arm falling off my bratty horse, I am gonna try to keep up with my weekly post....and I have 28 minutes left of Thursday...so here it goes

I am thankful:

• that my mom didn't get hurt worse then just a broken arm
• that the paramedics that worked on her were wonderful
• as well as the hospital staff
• my wonderful friends Don and Debbey, especially Debbey because even though she was sick, she still drove me to Scottsdale Osbourne so I could be with my mom
• my sweet little brother
• my other wonderful friends Darcy, Christine, Amy, Ryan and Darlene
• a very gracious GOD who is ALWAYS there for me, especially when things seem to just get worse

I am thankful for:

• being alive and basically healthy


• having good friends who understand me


• my horses and my horsey friends


• music - and thinking I can dance well to it


• my computer that Harold fixed, I seriously don't know what I would do without it


• my family, I really do love them, even thru the tough times


• my silly animals, although they woke me up at 3:15am this morning!


• having a good job and getting closer to having a second one

just got home

I got home a few hours ago from Heber, AZ. I went up to my friend Darcy's cabin. I wish I could day it was a fun-ish type of trip, which it was, but we had a mission. There is a man missing in Forrest Lakes, Mark Irby. Darcy is good friends with his brother Jim. So we went up there to help in the search of Mark. I was forbid to leave that cabin because of my previous cabin trip last year ending is a helicopter ride back to Scottsdale after an hour. Anyways, my job was to do what I do best: cook. We had 4 meals. 2 Jenny and her mom in law made and 2 we prepared when we got there. The guys helping with the search were all very happy to have warm meals. The search was called off on Saturday evening, just completely unsuccessful since there was still many feet of snow on the ground and with all the technology turning up with nothing, they decided to let the snow melt this week and head back up there on Friday. Hopefully they will find something.

But the cabin is amazing....here are a few pics, I didn't want to leave.

confidently, I am done...this time took the cake. I won't go into it all because I am sure it will make me super upset, but all I can say is I am pretty much looking for a place to live starting March 1st...
Yesterday was our first Gymkhana of the year. Alittle hectic in the beginning with registration, and then the rain, but all in all a good day. ET is such a goober, he hates running to the pattern, but once we clear it and start running home, he is a speed racer...lol. I just love him to pieces!

Wow it’s already 2009! That means 2010 is not to far away. I didn't ever think I would ever see it, but next year I will! Yippee! I had a FAB time at Shelly's New Years Eve party, a little to much fun....I was able to stay up for the New Year, but the 3 hours after that is a blur...I am too old for that nonsense! hahaha
Anyways, I saw the movie Benjamin Buttons, one of the best movies I have ever seen. The only think I didn't like was when he got "younger" he shrunk...but I guess there isn't any other way they could have done that. I don't think I would want to see it again in the theaters, but defiantly will be buying it. Go see it!
